A. Preparing the patient

 Explain each test before you do it.


 Compare right versus left.

Finger to nose test


B. procedure
1. Ask the patient to touch the tip of his index finger of one upper limb with the tip of the index finger
of the other upper limb several times

Or ask the patient to touch the tip of his nose with the tip of his finger several times
2. ask the patient to perform the previous movements several times with the eye closed
3. Observe the response
6. Compare right versus left.
Heel Knee shin test
1. positioning of the patient

the patient can sit at the edge of examination couch with the lower limbs hanging freely or can lie down
in bed with extension of his lower limbs
2. Ask the patient to place one heel on the opposite knee and run it down the shin of the tibia to the big
toe.
3. Repeat the test with the patient's eyes closed.
4. Observe the response
5. Compare right versus left.
