How to Install AutoCAD 2011

1. First make sure all programs on your computer are closed and there is nothing running.
2. Insert the AutoCAD 2011 disc and wait for it to run.
3. Once the disc has started and the first Install image has appeared you will want to select Install
Product.
4. Once the next screen has come up make sure that you have AutoCAD 2011 selected for your
install, and click Next.
5. AutoCAD will now start to initialize and the progress will be shown at the bottom of the screen.
6. Once the install has been initialized you will need to agree to the service agreement before the
install can continue. Once you have clicked I agree you will be able to click next at the bottom of
the screen.
7. You will now have to enter some user information, and if you have your serial number and
Product Key you will need to enter them now. Once completed click Next.
8. You will now see a review screen and if everything is correct you will want to click Install at the
bottom of the screen.
9. The installation will now begin and you can watch the progress on the progress bar at the
bottom of the screen.
10. Once the installation has been completed you will want to click finish at the bottom of the
screen.
11. You will now be prompted to restart your computer so click yes to restart.
12. Once your computer has restarted, double click on the AutoCAD 2011 icon on your desktop to
start the program.
13. Since this is your first running of the program you will be asked if you would like to migrate your
settings from your previous versions of AutoCAD. If you have a previous version on your
computer it should show up in the Migrate Settings from drop down menu and you will then
want to click OK.
14. You will now be asked to activate your product using the serial number you provided earlier or
continue to use the 30 day trial offer.
15. Once you have provided your serial number and clicked activate you will now be brought to the
AutoCAD default workspace screen and you are now ready to use AutoCAD 2011.
