What are the side effects the nurse should to assess for in a child? Hypotension,
rash, uticaria, hyperglycemia, constipation, N V D, loss of appetite, HA, blurred
vision

What special information would the nurse need to know when giving this
medication (including contraindications)? Anuria, hypersensitivity, avoid lithium,
DM, electrolyte imbalance, hypotension, renal disease

What should the nurse teach the parent/child about this medication? Monitor BP,
monitor urine output, may cause N V D, HA, dizziness, loss of appetite, don’t use
lithium, move slowly upon standing
