School violence is a
problem, not just in the
united states its world
wide!!!!
Different kinds of school violence!

Two classifications in school violence.


School violence by teacher and school
violence by students.
 school violence by teacher means the
excessive punishments they give to their
students on account of some silly
mistake, like not doing homework,
fighting etc.
 school violence by student includes
Bullying!

Bullying has several classifications as well……


oPhysical abuse, verbal abuse and teasing are the types
of bullying.

oWhen bullying goes beyond the limits is when the real


problems of school violence happens.
Sexual harassment!

Teasing or when they indulge in


activities like nudity, rape etc.
Drug abuse!

The use of drugs by the


students inside the school
premises.
Vandalism!

Bullying in a extreme manner


where the aid of outside thugs and
ruffians are used by the students to
beat up their opposing parties.
Theft!

Refers to robbing or giving


damage to the schools
property like benches and
buildings.
Males involved in school violence!

Boys create problems in


order to show their
masculinity.
They do everything they like
as per their interest/mind.
Females involved in school violence!

18.6 percent females aged 12


and17 are involved in severe
fights at schools.
Females are most likely to fight
because their more emotional.

When did school violence start? The


1950’s
 Were there getting their influences
from such games, music, tv etc.
 How they handle conflict.
School violence: where does it happen?

o Under staircases
o Under supervised classrooms
o Restrooms
o Gymnasiums
o Lockers
o Cafeterias/lunchrooms
o Parking lots
Conclusion!
Communities spend thousands
of dollars on metal detectors
and security guards each year.
Yet, other than making schools
appear more like prisons, these
strategies have not eliminated
violence from schools nor
necessarily made students and
staff feel safer.
