Miss Enger,

For the Unit 4 Individual Project I have decided to use Microsoft PowerPoint to display
information for myself and Business Administration Majors of NDSU in an easy to read format.
The information displayed in the slides will be used to add ease to planning their semester
schedule. It will provide all the information students need to plan in one location to avoid
repetitive searching online.

I have put a lot of work and hours into making my project. I have been able to
complete each task on time according to the timeline I included in my project proposal. I have
researched graduation requirements, acquired my student standing information, met with my
advisor, made current standings slides, made course description slides, and made semester
schedule slides.

First, I had to find the research requirement for graduation. This involved visiting the
College of Business page on NDSU.edu. After finding the graduation guidelines I was able to
really start the project. I added check marks to the curriculum sheet to easily display what I
have completed and what I will need to complete.

Second, I met with my advisor to review completed courses and plan for future
courses. I met with my advisor twice during the advising weeks for spring 2011 semester. He
provided a lot of information to me. It was nice to get a better understanding of each course
and his recommendations. I was able to create my current standings slide. This slide displayed
information useful to me in planning for my following semester at NDSU.

Third, I looked up each course that was required and needed as an elective on the
Campus Connection page on NDSU.edu. Here is where I was able to gather all my information
that would be most valuable to other Business Administration Majors and me. I was then able
to design the slides to contain this information. I wanted to make it easy for students to read so
I dedicated one slide to each course. Within the course slides I provided a description and
course credits information. I still need to add citations to my course descriptions.

Lastly, I was able to make slides that contain my plan for my future semesters at
NDSU. I made planning slides that helped me choose which classes I needed to take. I made
slides containing the course name and total credits I intend on taking for the next 3 semesters. I
felt that following along and using my system made planning a lot easier. It was nice to be able
to look at all my options in one place instead of having to search each course. I strongly believe
it would help NDSU students if each Major had a graduation plan format similar to what I
created on PowerPoint.

Sincerely,
Chelsea Case
