India Societies Act (XXI of 1860) started functioning from 6th
 July, 1983.
 NIESBUD functions as an apex body for coordinating
and overseeing the activities of various institutions
engaged in Entrepreneurship Development.

 The objectives are to conduct training, research and
consultancy activities in the small industry sector
focusing on entrepreneurship development

organizing programmers both for development

agencies in organizing entrepreneurship development
  programs, Conducting training programs for
promoters, trainers and entrepreneurs.
 Organize seminars, workshops and conferences for
providing interaction and exchange of views by
various agencies and entrepreneurs.

 Evolving effective training strategies and


methodologies for different target groups and
locations.
 A non profit organization formed by the ministry of
industry, Gov. of India

 It is sponsored by major financial institutions in india


like Industrial Development Bank of India, Industrial
Credit and Investment corporation of India, State
Bank of India

guiding and developing entrepreneurship in India
