•^-^jfli
EASTERN DISTRICT OF VIRGINIA DEC I3 2010 &
Alexandria Division
CLERK. U.S. DISTRICT COURT
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA

v.
l:10cr200 (LMB)
LEE BENTLEY FARKAS,

Defendant.

ORDER

Before the Court is Defendant's Motion to Amend the December 10,

2010 Ruling Continuing Motion and Trial Dates [Dkt. No. 101]. On
December 10, 2010, defendant's request for a second continuance of
the trial was granted, and the trial was rescheduled from February
22, 2011 to April 4, 2011. in open court, both the government and
defense counsel agreed to the April 4, 2011 trial date, and they were
told that the Court would not grant any additional continuances.
Defendant now states that an April 4, 2011 start date conflicts with
a law school class taught by one of his Florida-based attorneys,
Bruce Rogow, and asks for the trial to start on April is, 2011.
Recognizing the complexity of the charges, the Court has already
granted two continuances; however, the teaching scheduling of one
counsel is not a sufficient reason to grant a third continuance,
especially given the number of counsel already working on the
defendant's behalf. Accordingly, it is hereby
ORDERED that Defendant's Motion to Amend the December 10, 2010
Ruling Continuing Motion and Trial Dates [Dkt. No. 101] be and is
DENIED.
