NETS-S Indicator # 7: Demonstrate the
safe and cooperative use of
technology.
• To allow my students to demonstrate
this indicator in my class I will go over
proper procedures and rules about our
technology use and then provide them
with hands on experience so they may
demonstrate their newly learned skills.
 NETS-S Indicator #8: Independently
apply digital tools and resources to
address a variety of tasks and problems.
• Students will use computers
independently to play letter recognition
games which require them to follow
directions and answer questions.
 NETS-S Indicator #4: In a collaborative
work group use a variety of technologies
to produce a digital presentation or
product in a curriculum area.
• Students will (as a class) create a book of
pictures, taken by students with a digital
camera. Each picture will be of a letter they
found in every day life. (Ex: The steps of the
ladder form an H.) The pictures will be
uploaded on the class computer. Once the
entire alphabet has been finished, each letter
picture will become a page in an alphabet
book.
 NETS-S Indicator #1: Illustrate and
communicate original ideas and stories
using digital tools and media rich
resources.
• Students will use the picture they took
in the alphabet book and create a story
using the letter they found.
