Mckayla almost 2 years old
“My days with Mckayla are heavenly and happy! Her energy and vibrancy
remind me that God blesses children with a special gift of innocence and she
in turn blesses me. I hardly imagined what lay ahead when my son Joshua,
and his wife Danielle, announced they would be having a baby! She arrived
on a rainy and cold Veteran’s Day but continues to melt my heart with her
sweetness.
I simply can’t describe in words how it feels when Mckayla and I are together;
it is like a piece of heaven enters the moment she is near. She runs (never
walks!) from room to room and finds happiness in the smallest of things; in
my closet she hides among my neatly hanging pants and all I can see are her
feet sticking out! In a quiet tone, I hear her whisper; “peek-a-boo Gamma!”
We often sing together when we swing; I sing and she tries to follow my lead!
One of her favorite songs is “Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam.” She tries to
follow along and often the only word she is able to pronounce is Jesus and
sunBEAM! Mckayla knows she is a Sunbeam. Here is this choice song so
you can pass it along to your grandchildren too. Listen to it online with your

Mix tomato sauce with spaghetti seasoning. Using
a glass casserole dish, layer the sauce with each
separate color of pasta, starting and ending with
sauce. Top with the parmesan cheese. Bake at
350°f for 20 - 25 minutes or until cheese is lightly
browned. This is great with a green salad and fresh
garlic bread. It’s also a great make-ahead dish.
