Assalamualaikum,

I’ve contacted you last night, mentioning a visit to UTM Skudai, particularly to
your faculty. This program is known as Breakthrough of Malaysian Chemical
Engineering Students, (Brom Chem) where I am the project director. My name is Dayang
Noraziah Abang Yusop, as one of the committee member from Students Rep. Council
Secretariat of Chemical Engineering Faculty. I’d be happy to brief you about the
program, through this email.

The objectives of this program are:

 Improve relationships and exchanging ideas between participants.

 Give exposures of different of learning environment and processes for respective
universities.
 Give experiences of different lifestyles in respective universities.
 Broaden the participant’s knowledge about chemical engineering perspectives.
 Motivating participants in order to improve their knowledge in chemical
engineering.

There will be 40 students from UiTM Shah Alam involving in this program, including the
committee members.

FRIDAY (10TH MARCH 2006)

10.00 PM : ARRIVE AT RESPECTIVE UNIVERSITY (UTM SKUDAI)

10.30 PM : ALLOCATING ACCOMMODATION

11.00 PM : SHORT BRIEFING

SATURDAY (11TH MARCHC 2006)

7.00 – 8.00 AM : BREAKFAST AND GETTING READY

8.00 – 10.00 AM : MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION FROM UITM &

RESPECTIVE UNIVERSITY (UTM SKUDAI)

Qs:

1. Lettering: To whom should I write official letters to concerning out visit.

2. Accommodation : Would there be any accommodation available for us. There
will be (roughly : 15 male & 25 female). And how much does it cost for an
overnight stay.
3. Food : would it be possible if you could prepare meal (breakfast & lunch) for
us, which we will pay upon our arrival.
4. Activities : The activities outlined, are not final. We’d like to hear any
suggestions from your side, if you could hold activities for us.

I would like to emphasise, that we’re not the MPPs, but we’re merely the MPP’s
secretariat of Chemical Engineering, under the MPP. So, all of the participants involve
are students, and perhaps, one of our MPP of Chemical Engineering would participate for
this program.
