Flow of Presentation
• Overview
• Why Rest
Why Restructuring needed?
• Presently US centric and extending towards
international presence
• Region wise customization needed
• Single strategy needed for brand consistency
• To manage redundancy
Important design changes made?
• Two alternatives:
• Structure organized by functional area
• Structure organized by geographical area

Preferred organizing by geographical area

 Regional heads for each area

 Decentralize the region to be closer with the customers
Advantages
• Effective Marketing
• Distinct taste and needs of difft region
• Customer satisfaction bcoz product
responsibility and contact points are clear
• Allows units to adapt to differences in products,
regions and customers
Expected difficulties due to changes
• Training is important but is costly so will
hamper the initial requirement of keeping
profits at par
• Uncertainties regarding the leader (product
manager or regional manager)
• Person in-charge of managing bottom line
• Who will handle the profits (region or corridor)
Expected difficulties Contd..
• Recruitment of right people with global mindset
• Infrastructure setup will incur huge cost
• To make standardization across difft region
• Economy of scale : Each manager will focus on
it’s region only for it’s profit irrespective of
innovation required
Rating of the new structure
• Very well aligned
• Develop a global brand – some points
• Enhance global network distribution- points
• Expand adjacent markets – some points
• Develop future leaders within organization –some
points
• Increase productivity- some points
• Execute on service excellence – some points
Thank you.!!!
