Good afternoon everyone

My name is Nitish Maheshwari

Any organization views its R&D capabilities as vital component of its business strategy that will provide
the company with a sustainable long term competitive advantage and of course wealth maximization for
its owners.

So here are the few examples:

R&D efforts of the automotive industries are primarily focused on technologies. In fact many innovations
introduced in automobiles come from R&D department of the company. The innovations like ABS,
Airbags, electronic fuel injection, auto dimming mirrors, etc.

Maruti Suzuki launched new K-series engine and have always upgraded its version,

Similarly Tata’s Dicor, Mahindra’s mHawk Bajaj’s DTSi, etc. are the successful R&D examples of the
respective industries. Not only engines but these industries have always attracted their customers by
upgrading the design of the vehicle.

Undoubtly it is a time and money consuming exercise but the results of it gives in return milli and mill of
$s.

IT sector

Right now in this room we all are surrounded with unlimited invisible infrared waves generated from the
devices like cell phones, laptops, modem routers, etc.

Again R&D plays the role which forces the industries like Microsoft, Apple, Nokia, Sony, Intel, etc. to give
you as their customer the best and their shareholders time for some rest.
