YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND THE

1ST ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE

MALTA ARGENTINE TANGO ASSOCIATION

Attached is the official Notice for the first AGM of the Association which is
being held at the Marsa Golf Club on Tuesday 14th December at 8.00pm

During the informative meeting on 8th October an “ad hoc’’ Committee made
up of the Acting Committee of the Association, two Teachers’ representatives
and two Members’ representatives, was set up with a view to amend certain
clauses in the Statute. A meeting of this Committee took place on the 20th
October, and the following points were discussed and agreed upon. The clauses
affected by the changes are listed below and are in the amended statute.

1 NAME of the ASSOCIATION

2 ELECTIONS and ELECTION OF A NEW MANAGMENT

COMMITTEE (Clause 6)

3 SUSPENSTIONS (Clause 8)

And added

4 MEMBERSHIP and HONORARY MEMBERSHIP (Clause 8)

As the Association is independent and in order to avoid any misunderstandings

it was agreed to change the name of the Association from MALTA TANGO
ASSOCIATION to MALTA ARGENTINE TANGO ASSOCIATION.
Besides the Notices of the AGM, I am attaching a Committee Nomination Form
and a Membership Application Form.

Can I please bring to your attention, all those wishing to contest the election
must hand in their nomination form by not later than 7 days before the meeting.
You may send it via email (scanned), fax it on 25408881 or mail it to 338
Naxxar Road, Birkirkara. I also want to point out that those elected to the
Committee must become members of the Association. Please see Clauses 4 and
6 of the Statute, dealing with Management and Elections.

corner of the screen.

Following the meeting there will be a MILONGA.
