Butterfly (2010)

Today you look beautiful,

I’m watching you

as your hair dancing in the wind with colours,

Pink on your cheeks and red on your lips,

And a pair of white wings that sparkle as diamonds.

Today you look nervous,

As you're waiting to fly off to the sky,

Sitting in your cocoon before you burst

into a colourful butterfly,

I can’t help but watch you with a smile.

Today you look radiant,

You’re looking at him with eyes full of love,

The one flower you are destined to be with,

And my heart fills with jealousy

as you are about to fly away with him.

But today you look blissful,

And nothing makes me happier than seeing you smile,

As the butterfly soar into the endless sky,

I sit here waving goodbye

with a single tear in my eye.
