Enterotube II

Introduction: The enterotube II is a multiple test system designed to identify enteric bacteria based on:
glucose, adonitol, lactose, arabinose, sorbitol, and dulcitol fermentation. A code is used for each
compartment. This code identifies the bacteria.

Materials:

Enterotube II
Sterile culture of E.coli

Methods

1. Inoculate enterotube needle with E.coli.


2. Pull needle through tube while twisting.
3. Reinsert need through tube.
4. Break needle off at line, puncture air holes.
5. Incubate at 37* for 24-48 hours.
6. Add reagents necessary.
