Trainee Job Descriptions

All companies favor trainees.  Trainees are fresh recruits in any field of
work.  The companies prefer trainees to new employees because trainees are
easy to manage.  It is a kind of teaching, so most of the trainees don’t get
paid.  If they are paid, it will be very small amount.  Trainees work hard to
please their employer to get permanent work permit. Both ways the
employer benefits in the exchange.

At the same time trainees too have advantages.  Some people wish to join a
prestigious company.  He doesn’t have the required qualification or
experience.  He joins the company as trainee, learn the job, and secure the
job he had dreamt.  In some company there won’t be much hardship, but in
some other firms the supervisors and seniors will really wring out the new
trainees.

First and foremost a trainee should be very patient. Second he must have
inkling to understand and learn the work.  Third he must be smart and
quick.   A trainee must have zeal of learning all the new things wherever he
is working. He should use his analytical skills while learning some techniques
under his trainer. As trainees are fresh to their fields they can grab too many
opportunities by learning basic and important things required for any job
after his training.

A trainee manager assists the manager or the department head to achieve
the company’s growth objectives by finding out strategies to maximise sales
and control expenses. He must fulfil his responsibilities complying with the
company’s principles of leadership, organization and goals.

Duties and Responsibilities


 He must comply with the company’s customer service guidelines and
provide solutions to customer problems (operational or related to
products)
 He manages the appearance of the store with respect to the
company’s priorities
 He must perform basic administrative duties such as filing, filling out
forms etc.
 He must follow instructions and give attention to details
 He should ensure that the store’s cleanliness standards are maintained
 He needs to check if the proper stock levels are maintained by
appropriate product ordering

trainee manager provides a safe environment for employees and
customers by identifying and rectifying hazards and ensuring proper

solutions to the resolution of such problems.
 He assists the manager in the achievement of store productivity goals.
 He must be able to operate the cash register efficiently and accurately

 He must have good communication and leadership skills
 Good math skills will also be helpful
 He should communicate well and be tactful
 Excellent negotiation skills are helpful when dealing with clients
 He must answer enquiries and provide courteous customer service

Education and Qualifications


He must have a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business management.
Knowledge of computers and expertise in numbers are added advantages.
