Quest for Delight

From Delight we emerge-with an eternal urge

So long we live,we pine for Delight as such;

We long for Delight,in our every breath--

We strive,we seek,we quarrel and even fight;

Only to have Delight,Delight and Delight;

We know delight is Ramayana's marich---

Never to be caught and which is ever elusive:

Still we seek Delight with untiring zeal;

And stain our even virtue with various sin:

But our lifelong unrequited quest,

Gets fulfilled at last only at Death;

We reach the dwelling of Delight--

Never before our mortal end.
