GATES
 William (Bill) H. Gates is chairman of Microsoft
Corporation, the worldwide leader in software, services
and solutions that help people and businesses realize
their full potential.
 Born on Oct. 28, 1955, Gates grew up in Seattle with
his two sisters.
 In 1973, Gates entered Harvard University as a
freshman, where he lived down the hall from Steve
Ballmer, now Microsoft's chief executive officer.
 Under Gates' leadership, Microsoft's mission has been
to continually advance and improve software

 How Microsoft Was Built
 It was during the spring term of 1968, at lakeside
prep school that Bill Gates first used a computer.
 He and many of his friends got addicted to computers
and they spent all day and all night writing programs
and reading all the material they could get their
hands on.
 In late 1968 they started their small business and
research group named Computer Centre Corporation
 But the Computer Centre Corporation went out of
business in march 1970

 But He Didn’t Lose
Hope…
 He and his friends were hired by a company called
information sciences Inc. To create payroll programs
 His next project was to make a software that
measured traffic flow. And on completion of that, he
was paid $20,000.
 Then he started university at Harvard. However he
dropped out of Harvard and Microsoft was formed.
 Well, it was not just till that. Microsoft fought many
of its competitors an became the richest company in
the whole world.

Us
 If Microsoft Wasn't There, The Computer Would
Still Be The Old Slow Speed And Outdated Box.
 The Main Source Of New Technology And
Entertainment Is Computers, And The Father Of
Computers Is BILL GATES.
 Microsoft has not just created a operation
system, but also entered the world of software
and gaming
 Bill Gates is one of the world’s great risk takers.

 Bill gates earns $250 every second that’s about 20
million a day and 7.8 billion a year.
 In 1999, Gates wrote "Business @ the Speed of

Thought", a book that shows how computer technology

can solve business problems in fundamentally new ways.
The book was published in 25 languages and is available
in more than 60 countries. "Business @ the Speed of
Thought" has received wide critical acclaim, and was
listed on the best-seller lists of the "New York Times",
"USA Today", "The Wall Street Journal" and on
Amazon.com.
