The MLK Program of Events from January 10-14, 2011 at LaGuardia Community College includes an opening session with greetings from the president, African drummers and dancers, and a keynote speaker. Additional events are a film screening and student panel on January 11, a student panel and open mic on January 12, a health fair and voter education workshops on January 13, and a candlelight service, birthday celebration, and step show on January 14. All events celebrate the theme of "Tolerance for All Humanity" and are sponsored by the MLK Planning Committee and other college organizations.
