To suit your institution’s unique needs, Eastern Food Services, Inc., carries a wide variety of
delicious foods and exceptional products, offering you the flexibility and selection to customize
your menus. Some of the fabulous foods we offer are listed below.

 Frozen Foods: seafood, poultry, beef, pizza, and other frozen items

Our nourishing frozen food products offer the convenience, taste, and nutritional content
essential for building consumer confidence in our uncompromising commitment to
quality. According to the American Frozen Food Institute, frozen foods provide the
flexibility to be used “over the course of several weeks without worrying about...
degradation of nutrient value and quality.” In addition to locking in the nutritional value,
commercial freezing of food effective kills many food-borne pathogens, so you can feel
safe serving our frozen food products.

 Refrigerated Foods: milk, cheese, juice, soda, and other beverages

Our refrigerated foods offer you the wholesome freshness you expect. Eastern Food
Services, Inc., provides complete training and handling procedures to our employees to
ensure that the freshness is intact when the refrigerated foods are delivered to our
customers. Innovations in packaging and processing over the past decade have made
refrigerated foods safer and available to market even more quickly than they have ever
been before.

 Canned and Dry Foods: soup, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, syrups, chips, and other
snack items

Canned and dry foods offer the extended shelf life that is valuable for building a stable
foundation menu. We carry hundreds of canned food products, lending convenience and
diversity to your busy institution. Additionally, modern commercial canning methods
now use significantly reduced sodium levels, up to 40% over old canning methods. Dry
foods allow you to customize your pantry offerings, and many preparations are available
for those with special dietary needs.

 Fresh Foods: fresh vegetables, fruit, and poultry

Fresh foods are essential for a healthy lifestyle, and Eastern Food Services, Inc., selects
only the finest quality fresh food items. Many dietary experts recommend that every
person should eat at least five servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day to reduce
the risks of many common diseases from heart disease to high cholesterol. Many fresh
foods have high amounts of many antioxidant vitamins, including vitamins A, E, and C.
In addition to their importance as source of vitamins and minerals, fresh fruits and
vegetables also provide essential dietary fiber.

 Paper Products: cups, plates, forks, spoons, napkins, gloves, and other products

Use of paper products offers you the flexibility to serve many different types of functions
and at different locations with ease of transport and efficient clean up. Paper products can
be a wise choice because most paper is made from a renewable resource: trees. In
addition, many modern paper products contain recycled and post-consumer content,
making them the right choice for your institution as well as the environment.
