This unit we will learn about different scams and how to avoid them… The Lottery Everyone wants to win the lottery. However, it is very very rare to actually do this… Unfortunately, it is a common scam. Lottery Scam via Phone This scam often consists of a phone call from someone proclaiming “You have already won!!” They then ask you for your personal info (SS#, Bank info, Credit Card #).
Do NOT give this to anyone….
Lottery Scam via Mail You may also get a letter saying you’ve already won!! It will look very authentic. Do not fill in this reply with your personal info… Here is a sample….
