What is BFC

sharp rise in body temperature”

• Fever Seizures

• Not to be confused with epilepsy
• Does not cause brain damage
• Long term effects
• Rare
• Can’t die from BFC
Causes
• Sudden temperature rise triggered by
infection
• Middle ear infection
• Bacterial / Viral
• Nose
• Throat
• Occurs in children
• Underdeveloped body heat control
