Sectioning An Image
- After drawing the square, we are going to make 11 additional copies. You should now
have 12 total squares.
- Ok, now that you have created the 12 squares move each square over the picture.
- Next, select all of the squares by holding shift (for PCs) and clicking on each square.
- Go to Window, then Swatches, and change the fill color to “Paper” and the stroke color to
“None”.
- While all the squares remain selected, go to Window, then Transparency;
- Change the Transparency setting from “Normal” to “Multiply”.
- The squares will appear clear (no fill).
- While the squares remain selected, go to ”Object”, then select “Drop Shadow”.
- Check the Drop Shadow checkbox in the upper left corner.
- Click Ok
- Click somewhere off the page to de-select the squares.
- Finally, change the viewing mode by selecting “View” and then selecting “Overprint
Preview”
