 1956 Worked for a short while at an Australian newspaper company during his university days.
 1959 Management Trainee, Guthrie Berhad. Later joined Consultancy Arthur D. Little Inc.
 1964 Sets up a consultancy company, MAI Holdings in Kuala Lumpur.
 1967 Formed a number of ventures with Australian mining engineer Ken MacMahon, founder of Mineral
Securities (Minsec).
 1968 Set up Exoil Trading.
 1969 Bought Indonesian offshore oil concession after strike by independent driller Natomas.
 1970 Recruited Asian investors for two mutual funds launched by Minsec. Minsec collapses,
and Krishnan moved to London.

 1989 Pays a reported RM40 million to purchase the 39-hectare Selangor Turf Club site, to be developed as
the Kuala Kumpur City Centre.
 1989 Won management control of the country's Totalisator Board and its Numbers Forecast Operations
(used in horse racing).
 1991 Uses reverse takeover to acquire Tanjong Tin Dredging PLC, which in turn acquires 100 percent
of Pan Malaysian Pools from Kishnan's own Usaha Tegas, Tanjong PLC, as it is renamed, is relisted in Kuala
Lumpurand London.
 1991 Signs memoranda of understanding with U.S based Hughes Aircraft and France's Arianespace for
building and launching of two satellites.
 1991 Strikes deal with national oil company PETRONAS, which pays $248 million for a 51 percent stake
in Kuala Lumpur City Center project.
 1993 Through private vehicle Binariang, A. Krishnan is awarded Malaysia's first mobile telephone and
satellite licenses.
 1994 A. Krishnan bought a satellite from Hughes Aircraft of the United States.
 Through Binariang(own company), he is entrusted with the task of setting up Malaysia's
first communications satellite .
 Dec 1995 A. Krishnan is the first Malaysian to purchase the Falcon.
 Jan 1996 Measat's first satellite was launched.
 Jul 1997 Ananda is the 65th out of the 200 richest person in the world as stated in the FORBES magazine

 Celestial Pictures Limited owned by Usaha Tegas, Ananda, entered a deal landed it with almost 800 titles
from the Shaw Brother's studio classic films. The films are those made in the 60's, 70's and 80's.

RM8.77 billion
