Linear equations in the daily life

We all have said at least one time the phrase:
When am I going to use linear equations in my
daily life!!!! >:l

If you haven't then Congratz!!!

Well… now I'm going to show you an example of
the thousands… millions of examples of when
you are going to use the linear equations in
your daily life.
When you are in the supermarket and you are
going to buy a one hundred pesos candy.

You are paying and then you notice that you left
your five 20 pesos bills and then you say:

-OMG O.O
-what happens my client?
-I will pay with cents
-Marvelous more change for the store :D
Now you start to think that you will need a lot of
coins but you are a person that only likes to pay
in one kind of value, you also have bad vision and
you have to touch the coin to know the value.

Now you say:

Ok this coin is splendid and you give to the seller a
bag of coins that has… 2000 coins.

When you are on your way home you start tom

wonder what was the coin value (Because you
have very very bad memory).
But you are splendid at mathematics and you
use the linear equation method:

X= the value of the coin

20x(100)+5(40-20)=10(-10+20)

Lets start solving it :D

20x(100)+5(40-20)=10(-10+30)

2000x+200-100=-100+300
2000x=-200+100-100+300
2000x=100
X=2000/100
X=.05

You see? Quite easy.

 Answer the questions
1-How do you solve the problem?
A= using the linear equations to remember the coin value
2-What are the steps to follow in order to solve the
problem?
A=First solve all the parenthesis , now in one side put all
the x values, in the other all the normal number value
but changing the sign of the one that were moved, now
just add all the numbers. You will now have the x and
the normal numbers. Just divide and there you go.
3- Do you verify the answer of the problem?
A= I didn’t but you just have to substitute x for
its real value
4- Have you aver solved a daily life problem with
lineal equations?
A= Of course not.
