    Cesar Chavez Recognition Awards

    The following are the items which will be considered by the awards committee in its
    review of nominees:

    1. LEADERSHIP -One who guides by positive influence and consistently


    demonstrates organizational skills or direction.

    2. EXEMPLARY SERVICE -One who is worthy of imitation or who walks the


    talk and is persuasive as well as exhibits high ethical standards.

    3. ACTIVIST -One who recognizes that improvements must take place in


    situations, and then actively takes steps towards a progressive movement to
    change.

    4. VOLUNTEER/CONTRIBUTOR - One who sacrifices time and/or money for


    the good of the Latino/Hispanic community, organization or individuals.

    5. PUBLIC RELATIONS - One who has a mutual connection with the


    Latino/Hispanic community and then addresses the needs of the community
    through clear communication.
