    CALENDAR OF EVENTS Director’s Notes


    SPECIAL EVENT 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR
    PLACE: MACS REMINDERS
    TIME: MONDAY, JANUARY 17
     The Spanish Club has been cancelled due to logistical issues.
    Event: MLK HOLIDAY – NO SCHOOL
     MACS will have classes on Friday, January 21. The school
    SPECIAL EVENT
    calendar is in the student planners and available on the
    PLACE: MACS PICNIC TABLES
    school website: www.micanopyareaschool.org
    TIME: W EDNESDAY, JANUARY 19
    EVENT: 4H – JUNIOR GARDENERS  Bicycle Riders must walk their bikes out of the parking lot.
    SPECIAL EVENT  Please make sure your child arrives at school on time. Tardy
    PLACE: MACS students disrupt the entire class.
    TIME: FRIDAY, JANUARY 21
     Please be sure to keep your contact information up to date. If
    EVENT: END OF FIRST SEMESTER
    your phone number changes please notify the front office.
     Students are encouraged to wear their MACS shirts on
    Fridays.

    Yearbook Ads

    Yearbook ads will be accepted until January 31, 2011.


    Please help us with this project. MACS is proud to produce
    a full color yearbook again this year. In the past we have
    been able to keep the cost reasonable due to support of the
    advertisers. Please help us reach this goal again this year.

    NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

    Applications for the Free/Reduced lunch and Volunteers


    breakfast program may be submitted at any
    time. Applications are available in the front We are still looking for volunteers to put together a
    office. montage page for the yearbook for Kindergarten and
    Fourth Grade. Can you help? Please contact Pam
    Bowman or Michelle Stopford.

    Early Dismissal on Wednesdays


    School dismisses at 1:00 every Wednesday. After school care is available from Blue Wave for a fee.
