Blogger, Youtube and Tubechop were the 3 main technologies that i used during the research and

planning stage. Blogger was the most useful because it gave me somewhere to share my ideas and
thoughts through words, videos and pictures. It also allowed me to get feedback from peers as well
as communicate with my group and keep up to date with the remaining tasks using the widgets on
the sidebar.

Youtube and Tubechop were both used to evidence different potential ideas and inspiration for the
video. This was mainly during the analysis. Youtube enabled me to watch a variety of different
videos and tubechop allowed me to pinpoint exactly which parts of the video i found inspirational
and embed them allowing me to be concise in my ideas.

As a group, we discussed our ideas on facebook. We used private messages and wall posts to get
other members opinions as well as to give feedback on very rough ideas before they were posted to
the blog. Facebook was really helpful during our planning stage because we all regularly checked it
and we had the ability to get updates to our phones so we could always be contacted without having
to spend money on phone credit.

Me and Hannah also used our Blackberries to plan because we used the Blackberry Messenger
function in order to communicate instantly for free, this meant we could schedule meetings for the
group or give quick pieces of information e.g. if the meeting had to be rescheduled.

Spotify was another technology we used during planning, this was mainly because when doing our
storyboard we had to work out the beats of the song as well as the timings when lines started in
order to try and work out shot lengths. Spotify let us listen to the song on repeat without us having
to restart it again manually.

WE used a digital camera in our planning and research as well as sony vegas to create test shots of
our stop motion. They both helped us learn how to use the software as well as work out how far to
move each character to make the shots look effective.

During our production stage we used photoshop, sony vegas and a HD sony camcorder.

The sony camcorder was used to capture stills as well as moving image to create our final task. This
was useful because it had a high quality image recording as well as a large internal memory so we
could easily store all of our footage without running out of space while we were on location.

Photoshop and Sony Vegas enabled us to get out framing, colours and adjustments for our products
perfect. Photoshop allowed us to easily add the stop motion onto photos of the location to get the
stillness and lighting as accurate as possible while Vegas allowed us to edit the footage together to a
high standard.

Scribd was also used, this was mainly for uploading word documents to make them neat and concise
rather than pasting them in to blogger to make one big blog post, and this makes the work more
interesting to read.
