Banking Industry Analysis

Project 2

For the second project in our business cluster 202I class, we had to prepare an

analysis of the banking/financial services industry. This analysis involved covering such

topics as: a brief history of the banking industry, the effects of deregulation, the trend

towards globalization, the wide variety of financial services offered today, the impact of

mergers, and finally a future outlook. The purpose of this paper was to help us to gain

knowledge of the banking industry and lead us into project 2b which focuses on the

competitiveness of specific banks.
