    What is internet
    It is the vast international network
    that is the most preferred WAN of the
    world. It is the network of networks,
    made by joining computer networks
    together with telephone lines.
    History
    It came into existence in 1969
    U.S. Department of Defense sponsored
    a project named ARPANET.
    In mid 80’s new high capacity network,
    NSFnet was created.
    Later many private companies built their
    own networks, which interconnected
    with ARPANET & NSFnet to form
    Internet.
    Impact on society

    Internet has globalised the world.
    People come closer by means of
    Internet, in other words the world is
    become shrink. If it is used properly
    it’s like a magic stick that gives us
    everything in a very less time.
