2011 Holiday Drunken Driving Enforcement
The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, U of M Public Safety, Milan Police, Chelsea Police and
Saline Police stepped up enforcement for impaired drivers in Washtenaw County this past
Christmas/New Year’s Holiday period.
Law Enforcement Officers worked 310.5 hours and made 294 traffic stops in Washtenaw County, from
December 16, 2010 through January 2, 2011, designated for drunken driving enforcement. Enforcement
was paid for by the federal traffic safety funds administered by the Office of Highway Safety Planning
(OHSP).
