Ribbed rose cowl

Materials:

Chunky Yarn
Knitting needles 7mm
Needle

CO 36 stitches

Row 1: “knit 4, purl 4” “continue this rib pattern for the entire row

Row 2: ”purl 4, knit 4” “continue this rib pattern for the entire row

Continue row 1 & 2 for 63 rows or till piece measures 50 cm/ 20 inch
Make sure it fits around your neck and over your head, it will be pretty stretchy, so you probably
won’t have to worry. Cast off.

Now with one long thread close the seam on the wrong side and pull the thread tight so it will look
gathered. Finish off.

Rose:

Cast on 100 stitches in outer color

Row 1: change to basic, color purl to end

Row 2: knit2tog to end (50)

Row 3: Purl to end

Row 4: Knit2tog to end (25)

Row 5: Purl to end

Row 6: knit 1, Knit2tog to end (13)

Row 7: Purl to end

Row 8: knit1, Knit2tog to end (7)

Now with a needle pull your yarn through the 7 last stitches and pull tight. Now fold and curl your
rose into shape and fasten with a few stitches. I advise you to try and fold both ways to see which
one side you like better, wrong or right side out.

Now sew your rose to the gathered seem on the right side and your done!

Good luck!
