DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES/GUIDELINES:

1. To qualify for the Datalogics Society Digital Photography Contest, each photo entry must:
a. Be taken by any CS/ICT/IT/ACT student of the University of San Carlos.
b. Be taken with any digital camera except for camera phones.
c. Be an unframed 8R (8 x 10 in) print.
d. Be decent without any nudity, explicit content or hateful themes.
e. Not be copyrighted or taken by any studio photographers.
f. Be accompanied by a completed official entry form during payment of entry fee of 20 pesos
per entry photograph at LB 464. Entry form must be attached to back of EACH print.

2. Students may submit unlimited number of entries – each entry must be accompanied by a
separate entry form. Each entry must be entered in only one category.

CATEGORIES
landscapes, outdoor scenic, nature images, sunsets, urban landscapes,
Nature & Landscapes
seascapes, cityscapes, etc.
Animals pets, wildlife, insects, domestic animals, etc.
People family, couples and relationships, models / fashion, sports, etc.
Details might include a knot, a lock, or an abstract close-up. Anything
Details & Macro goes as long as it is a tight composition of a detail.
Macro includes flowers, insects, stamps, ice crystals, etc.
Catch-All Any image that doesn't fit into one of the other categories.

3. Identifying marks or signatures are not permitted on the front of your print entry. Any entry
with a signature or studio logo that can be seen by the judges will be automatically disqualified.
4. Deadline of submission of entries will be on February 1, 2011, Tuesday, 3:00 P.M. at LB 464.
5. Recognition awards of the contest will be on the last day of TechKnow week on February 4,
2011, Friday.
6. Entry photographs in the competition will be evaluated based on professional skill, imagination,
creativity and technique by the official judges. The decision of the judges is final.
7. A gallery of submitted photos will be displayed in the Bunzel lobby by February 3, 2011
(Thursday). Winners’ photos will be re-exhibited on February 17, 2011 during the CAS Days.
8. Rules for this contest may be changed or modified without notice.
