Evans & Chairman Brown Re-Introduce Professional Sports License Plate Bill
Residents Could Show Support for Favorite Washington Sports Team

Washington, DC – Councilmember Jack Evans, along with Chairman Kwame Brown, today re-
introduced the District of Columbia Professional Sports Team License Plates Establishment Act of
2011. The legislation would allow District residents to display license plates with their favorite
Washington sports team logo.

“This is a great way for residents to show their District pride,” said Evans. “Whether you’re a
Capitals, Wizards, Mystics, Redskins, United, Nationals, Kastles, Freedom, or DC Divas fan, you’ll
be able to show your team pride everywhere you drive.”

The new plates would continue to display the “Taxation Without Representation” slogan.
