Reflection of the Presentations2

We continued our presentations this week. I think we were more aware of what we should do ,
and shouldn’t. We were prepared better.

This week it was my turn and I did my role play in my vocabulary presentation. It was in the post
part and I wanted the students to make “ Yemekteyiz” Programme , as my topic was “Kitchen
Utensils”. I brought some kitchen utensils to the class and reminded them what they were then we
passed to the acting out. I gave role cards and gave time to the students to prepare. I tried to give
the instructions clearly. While they were preparing reading their role cards I checked them to see if
there was a problem. I repeated the steps to them. I asked what we were going to do. A volunteer
group came and did their roles. I think they didn’t have difficulty because they knew “Yemekteyiz
Programme” It was enjoyable. I wanted them to use the kitchen utensils I brought.

After it finished , I corrected their pronunciation mistakes for example “awful”. I noted them down
while they were doing their role plays and told them these mistakes.

My friend s told me that I was nervous, I was not comfortable at stage. My teacher told me that I
was indifferent to the class , I couldn’t make good interaction with them, my role cards were not
clear.

Also he told me that I was good at correcting my friends’ pronunciation mistakes .

I tried my best I tried to give clear instructions , use classroom space effectively . I gave the
students time to prepare , tried to use my voice , gestures appropriately.

I realized that we are getting used to being teachers day by day, we know that we should do more
practises to be better because this needs more practises we see this when we watch our videos after
it finishes.
