GENERAL INFORMATION
1. OBJECTIVES
The principal objective of the Marathi short Film Festival is to promote and encourage
an awareness, appreciation and understanding of the art of Indian cinema and to inspire cultural
exchange through film. The Festival also promotes contacts between industry professionals to assist
in the development of the Marathi Cinema industry.

2. DATES & VENUE

The Marathi short Film Festival will be held from 21 Jan & 22 Jan, 2011 Ravindra Natya Mandir,
Prabhadevi, Mumbai.

3. PROGRAMME
The Marathi short film festival shows:

1. Short Films (up to 45Min.)

2. Animations

·Films screened at the Festival must either be produced in India or have a reference to India.
·Selected films will be placed in the appropriate programme by the Festival Organizing
Committee.
·The Festival Organizing Committee reserves the right to rule on cases not foreseen by
these regulations

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Formats
For programming consideration, the Festival accepts DVDs only. The Festival will not consider
trailers for selection purposes.
DVD submissions. DVDs must be formatted in MPEG video for Region Europe. Please test
computer-burned DVDs on several makes and models of players before sending.

Selection
All submitted films will be watched and rated by an internal selection committee. This committee
will select the films that will be screened at the festival.
In a second step the Jury will determine the winning films running in competition.

Deadlines

The submission deadline for selecting purposes 7 January, 2011. The festival is not obliged to
view late entries.
Submitted films will get noticed whether they were selected or not at the end of 15th January, 2011.

Festival attendance
Travel expenses will NOT BE be covered if the filmmakers receive a separate invitation of the
festival director.

Fees
The organizers are not charging any kind of fees to submit your Film. This is for better reach and
in order to promote the festival.

A film-maker may enter more than one film, provided a seperate entry form accompanies each
film.

Entry receipt will be acknowledged via e-mail and hardcopy

MSFF reserves the right to use still images and trailers of the films to promote the festival
(Internet / TV / other media)
