Therapy For Anxiety
Therapy For Anxiety
Chronic stress impedes the functioning of the suprarenal gland, which can weaken the immune
system and cause generative diseases. Herbs are wonderful allies in times of stress, but you
have to locate the underlying cause of anxiety and not rely on herbal sedatives.
Herbs are wonderful for stress and anxiety. Chamomile and pennyroyal are soothing and
slightly sedative.
250 ml (8 oz liq.) boiling water
1 teaspoon dried chamomile
1 teaspoon pennyroyal
Drop the herbs into the boiling water, let soak for 10 minutes, strain the water. Sweeten with
honey if desired. Take 3 cups a day.
Several supplements strengthen the body against the emotional stress, including vitamin B
complex (Take 50 mg twice daily), which supports the adrenal glands, and magnesium (take
500 mg a day), which has a cooling effect natural.
BREATHE TO RELAX
Slow the rhythm of your breathing will tell your body and your mind to relax. Sit or lie in a
comfortable position. Breathe deeply. Breathe out completely through your mouth slightly
open. Close your mouth and breathe in slowly through your nose while counting to five. Hold
your breath for five seconds. Then breathe out completely through your mouth counting to
ten. Do it all quietly, but the exhalation twice as long as inhalation. Inhalation again and repeat
the cycle five times a day, or whenever you feel tense or anxious.
