    State Tobacco Laws9

    Excise Tax: There is a tax of $1.70 per pack on cigarettes.

    Clean Indoor Air Ordinances


    • Smoking is prohibited in all child care centers, government buildings, health facilities,
    schools and private workplaces.

    • Smoking restrictions are required in all restaurants and bars, unless they make 60% of
    revenues from alcohol sales or gambling.

    Youth Access Laws


    • The minimum age requirement for the purchase of tobacco products is 18, and penalties
    exist for both minors and merchants who violate this law.

    • Establishments are required to post signs stating that sales to minors are prohibited.
