Executive Biography

Marcelo Giampietro
Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President Ecosystem and
Channel Partners, SAP Latin America & the Caribbean
With over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, Marcelo Giampietro is currently
responsible for the COO Office and the Ecosystem and Channel Partners Group, where he leads
the Business Operations area and the Service and Channel Partners organization. As of recently,
Giampietro also leads the SAP Latin America and the Caribbean sales force, working directly with
the region’s managing directors to successfully deliver on the go-to-market strategy outlined for
2011. Furthermore, he heads the commercial area for the Caribbean region.

Previously, Giampietro had successfully led the SME business unit, where he effectively positioned
SAP’s mid-market solutions within the region and consolidated the company’s business relationships
with its channel partner network. Prior to joining SAP, he worked for 12 years at HP Brazil, where he held various executive
positions. Before that, he had worked at various leading companies, including Price Waterhouse, Industrias de Base Villares,
and CI Compucenter.

Giampietro holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas, and further attended
Economics courses at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Sao Paulo, after being granted an Associate’s Degree in
Electronics from Colegio Dante Alighieri in Sao Paulo.
