11:30am – Prep: Organizers arrive, set-up, and go over

noon facilitation.
12:00 – Introductions: Who are you, and why are you
concerned about opening the media?

12:15 – Ask: What do you envision for the group?

12:45 – 2:00 Discussion: Discuss opportunities - What’s
coming up in our region that can help advance
the cause? How can we create more awareness?
Does the group have any ideas for art projects
that would attract attention? How can we get
more people to sign the Stop The Meter Petition
once they become aware of the issue?

Brainstorm who else to invite to the group.

2:00 – 2:30 Assign: Volunteer roles, tasks, deadlines
2:30 – 2:45 Photo shoot: Make a sign and take a group
photo with it! OpenMedia.ca will put it on the
website.
2:45 – 3:00 Make a time for the next meeting and
report back: Please report back to
OpenMedia.ca with any awareness raising ideas
your group has come up with. We’re always
looking for new creative ways to expand our
