Mutual funds were most preferred investment product over
investment in share market. Many people who knew about mutual funds wanted to invest. About investment in share market they felt it was more risky and so they were ambiguous about investment in the market. The followings are as follows: Out of total 130 respondents, 60% are interested to invest their money and the rest 40% don’t want to invest their money. 50% are willing to invest in mutual and 35% in share market. And 15% want to invest in both. 31% for long term and the rest 27% for both. The risk taking ability is also depicted. 72% are high risk takers and the rest 28% are low risk takers.
According to the analysis, the mutual fund industry is going strong
as compared to the share market. This is due to the less risk in mutual funds. People who are willing to take risk invest in share market. And now more FIIs and FDIs are coming which will help both the share market as well as the mutual fund industry in expending their horizon and bringing in new investors to invest their money.
