Sonya Tayeh

In my oral presentation I will talk about a dancer and choreographer, Sonya

Tayeh.
She is an inspiration to me but first I will talk about her. She was born on
Brooklyn, New York and raised in Detroit, Michigan, I couldn’t find her date of birth.
She started dancing in college and graduate with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Wayne
State University in 2005. Sonya was a dance teacher at the Edge Performing Arts
Center, the Millennium Dance Complex, and the Tayeh Dance Company in Los Angeles,
California and the Dance Studios Tour, making specialization in contemporary funk and
progressive contact.

The first time that I see Sonya was in So You Think You Can Dance, my favorite tv
program. She was a choreographer and a judge in the show and the main thing that
captured my attention was the feeling that she transmits through dance and its
unusual style. To me, she is one of the best dancers I have ever seen. She does not care
about people's opinion about her style and always try to do the best job possible when
she does choreographies.

As I mentioned, she is an inspiration to me because it shows me a different side

of the dance, more real and hard at the same time very beautiful. One day I would like
to be a dancer like her, because she knows a little of all styles and she creates the most
beautiful dances ever made
