Greetings of Peace and Goodwill!

The incoming fifth year Computer Engineering students of the University of Negros Occidental
– Recoletos are required to undergo an On-the-Job Training to be exposed to actual industrial
and office situations under simulated employment conditions for a given period of time to
witness the actual process and operations of industries related to the field. Moreover, the said
training is warranted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through DECS Memo
No. 184, s. 1991 on “Encouraging the Institutionalization of Academics – Industry Linkages and
Consortia among Engineering and Higher Technical Education Institution.” Such endeavor
would also enable the students to be equipped with the necessary training acquainted with their
profession.

Out of this, the College of Engineering of UNO-R considers your firm to be a part in molding the
students to be successful CpEs. The school requests your good office to accept our
recommendation of the following students to undergo training in your department:

Each student is required to meet the target of at least 50 hours of practicum in the field of
communications, 50 hours in the field of electronics and 40 hours in the field of I.T.
