The 

Chinese Sheng is a mouth-blown free reed


instrument consisting essentially of vertical pipes.

The yu was a free reed wind instrument used in


ancient China. It was similar to the sheng, with
multiple bamboo pipes fixed in a wind chest which may have
been made of bamboo, wood, or gourd. Each pipe contained a free reed, which was also
made of bamboo.

Pien Ching is a set of L-shaped stones, of different quantities and sizes, hanging from a
stand and struck with a special hammer. They are played only at court and during religious
ceremonies.

The pipa  is a four-stringed Chinese musical
instrument, belonging to the plucked category of
instruments Sometimes called the Chinese lute, the
instrument has a pear-shaped wooden body with a
varying number of frets ranging from 12–26. Another
Chinese 4 string plucked lute is the liuqin, which
looks like a smaller version of the pipa.

Chinese Yun-Lo usually consists of 10 gongs that are suspended in


individual compartments on a wooden frame and beaten with sticks that
have hard or soft tips.
