    LeConte SGC Meeting Minutes 1/12/2011

    Attending:
    Denise Montgomery, Ben Buettner, Dana Blanchard, August Fern, Yawo Tekpa, Jocelyn Bale-
    Glickman, Cheryl Wilson, Estella Sisneros, Chris Martin, Jacqueline Bott, Penny Peak, Minerva
    Tirado.

    12/8/10 Minutes approved.

    Survey:
    Jacqueline reports back on survey. Concerned about length of survey. Interested in encouraging
    online particiapation.
    How to consolidate survey. Choose key areas ie. Culture, safety, communication, academics.
    SGC makes adjustments to survey. Jacqueline will consolidate changes made by 1/21 and
    submit to Cheryl who will get it to the translator. A link will be printed in the Lamppost for the
    February 1st printing. Link will also be sent out via email listserv.
    Hard copies will be ready for distribution at the African American Heritage Celebration on 2/25.

    Budget Modifications:
    New allocations:
    $716 for RTI conference on 2/22. Funds to come from Title 1.
    $175 for Special Ed. Conference. Julie Venuto will attend. Funds to come from Title 1.

    Adjustments of previously allocated funds:


    $5425 for five after school tutors.

    ALL BUDGET MODIFICATIONS APPROVED.

    Cheryl is looking into Quick Reads interventions set to help with RTI implementation. She will
    be receiving samples soon.

    Site Plan Update:


    Review of Site Plan.
    -Concern about overscheduling of enrichment pullouts. How to achieve stated goal of 90-120
    minutes of uninterrupted ELA instructional minutes daily while still maintaining Farm and
    Garden, Cooking, PE, Library etc.
    -Discussion about specifics of Site Plan. Review of our success in implementation of goals.
    -Discussion about integration of classroom curriculum, themes, and standards into the after
    school programs.
