The ability of the sensory organ to detect a
stimulus
NERVES
Connect the brain to all parts of the body.
RESPONSE
Reaction produced in answer to a stimulus.
BRAIN
Controls all the actions and response of the
body.
THE SKIN
1) Responds to pain, touch, pressure, heat, cold
2) 5 receptors : pain, touch, heat, cold, pressure
3) Sensitivity depends on thickness of skin and
number of sensory senses.
