Know the scope of PT and apply decision making skills to patient history and system
review to determine appropriateness of PT.

Know the areas of history taking and the interviewing techniques.

Know the importance of observations skills and apply observations to the evaluation
process.

Know the purpose of and procedures for Anthropometric measures.

Apply knowledge of goniometric skills including general principles, specific techniques,


limitation of substitutions, interpretation of results, and functional limitations.

Define capsular pattern and know normal and pathological end feels.

Apply knowledge of MMT skills including general principles, specific techniques,


limitation of substitutions, interpretation of results, and functional limitations.

Know and apply concepts of objectivity, reliability and validity to specific tests including
MMT, ROM and anthropometrics.

Know anatomy of the muscles we covered in MMT including origin, insertion, action and
innervations (peripheral nerve and nerve root levels).

Know how to objectify strength testing beyond MMT, including various methods,
specific test parameters, and indications for use. (i.e. Isokinetics and Hand held
dynamometers)
