Y LECONTE'S ANNUAL QUILT RAFFLE

This year's quilt, is called LeConte Stars and was lovingly made by Mothers at LeConte ..
The quilt will be on display in the hallway beginning January 28th.

Raffle prizes also include an iPad, iPod shuffle and a gift certificate to Mrs. Dalloway's
book store. The drawing will take place on Friday evening, February 25th at the
African American Heritage Celebration. So please save the date for one of our most
beautiful fund raisers of the year. Enclosed you will find 20 tickets to be sold for $2.00
per 1 ticket, $5.00 for 3 tickets, or $25.00 for the whole book of 20. If you need more
(and we hope you will!) you can get them from Marie in the front office.

As incentive for students to sell tickets, we will hold weekly lunchtime drawings for
prizes. For every 20 tickets sold, turn your money and ticket stubs in to Marie. She will
provide a drawing coupon to fill out. If you sell 40 tickets you get two chances to win, if
you sell 60 you get three coupons/chances to win. Principal Wilson will be conducting
drawings every Friday at lunch. Prizes include: Gift Cards to Target or local book stores,
LeConte sweatshirts, and more fun things! So SELL, SELL, SELL and be on the
lookout for more exciting prizes for students before the fantastic February 25 th
celebration! The top selling student will win an iPod touch! All

-Sell 40 tickets and get a limited-edition, African American Heritage Panda t-shirt.

-Sell 80 tickets and get the t-shirt plus a LeConte hoodie sweatshirt.

-Sell 100 tickets and get the t-shirt, hoodie, plus a $20 Target Gift Card.

- For every 50 tickets over 100, students will get an additional $10 Target Card.

When you turn your tickets in to Marie. please make sure the "Sold by" line is filled out
with the student's name. Clearly write the person's name who bought the tickets on the
"Name" line. as well as their phone and/or e-mail. After selling the initial 20 tickets, put
the money and stubs in an envelope with the student's name on the outside. This is the
only way the PTA will be able to keep track of the amount of tickets that each individual
child has sold to ensure receipt of rewards.

Final sales incentive rewards will be handed out by Friday. March 25th.

Tip: Last year many students had great success by setting up a table at Berkeley Bowl,
on 4th Street or at Safeway... Get creative. Top sellers will be called up on stage at
the main event, recognized, and asked to help draw the raffle winners!
