Mobilizing Agribusiness with

the Bio Economy in Michigan

The Mid-Michigan Bio Alliance Inaugural Luncheon
Tuesday, February 22, 2011, 11:30 a.m. • Lansing Community College West Campus
5708 Cornerstone, Lansing, Michigan
The Mid-Michigan Bio Alliance invites you to their inaugural luncheon. Michigan’s dynamic agri-food
system generates $71.3 billion and supports more than 1 million jobs annually. With strong public and
private investment– $8.6 billion since 2000– and the nation’s second most diverse commercial crop
base, this industry will continue fueling Michigan’s economic development.* This luncheon will look
at mid-Michigan’s assets and opportunities for private sector to grow in this emerging and
vital bio economy.

The featured speakers will be:

Keith Creagh, Director, Michigan Agriculture and Rural Development

Keith Creagh was named the new Director of Agriculture and Rural Development by Governor
Snyder in January 2011. Prior to joining the State, Kevin worked at Neogen as the Industry Affairs and
Hacco Operations Director.

Lisa Stoberierski, Coordinator, CommerceConnect

CommerceConnect supports U.S. businesses by helping emerging entrepreneurs and established
companies in Michigan overcome challenges, exploit opportunities and connect to the right resources
to advance their objectives.

The Mid-Michigan Bio Alliance’s focus is to bring together public, private, academic and government
entities in a collaborative effort to change the mid-Michigan bioscience landscape.
