88-KEYS:THE DEATH OF ADAM

Charles Misodi Njapa better known as 88-Keys is a producer/rapper hailing from Long Island, New York.
If you haven’t heard of this guy you definitely should.

With the mainstream constantly producing carbon copy rap artists that are more for the money and fame
there are few true artists who branch away from the norm. 88-Keys is one of them. With one mixtape
(Adam’s Case Files Mixtape), one ep (Stay Up! (Viagra) Prescription Pack EP),  and one lp (The Death of
Adam.), 88 -Keys is well on his way to making his quirky style & flow known in the hip hop scene.

The Death of Adam. puts the listener in the shoes of Adam & takes you through his life experiences with
women, ultimately leading up to his death in his apartment. The intro track Morning Wood talks about well
his wood in the morning & from their the album keeps going with the same subtle sexual humorous
theme. This is a unique concept for a hip hop album & it flows together perfectly. After every track there is
narration from a girl said to be one of Adam’s neighbors & it foreshadows things to come in the next track.
Guests on this album includes Kanye West, KiD CuDi, Redman & more.

Stand out tracks for me on this album would have to be “The Friend Zone”, “Stay Up! (Viagra)”, & “Close
Call”. “The Friend Zone”  is about Adam’s efforts to get with a girl. He buys her fancy things & even pays
her bills just to end up like a brother to her. “Stay Up!”  talks about Adam getting ready to have sex with a
girl & Adam’s troubles to stay up. Kanye West takes the main voice on this track (88 your flow is good but
I had the best flow of all time.). ”Close Call”   describes Adam impregnating the girl  even after she tells
him she’s on birth control.
All in all this album is definately one to check out. It’s like listening to a movie unfold only through Charles
Njapa’s words. Hopefully there will be more to come from this rapper/prdocuer in the future.
